APRIL 2024: FIRST OPUS OF THE CLASH OF TITANS


This year, our students engaged in a competition against Bocconi, centered around a challenging marketing case from Moët & Chandon. After weeks of intense work, 20 finalists  from ESSEC Business School and SDA Bocconi presented in front of a distinguished jury from LVMH and Moët & Chandon. The grand finale took place at the historic Orangerie in Epernay. For the second opus, in 2025, 4 business schools will enter the competition.

FRED

On the topic of Best in Class Client Experiences, three teams of students leveraged their insight, research, and expertise to craft proposals ready to be rolled out in front of a jury, at FRED's headquarters. They presented with confidence and showed their unwavering commitment and innovative solutions,  contributing  to shaping the future of retail.

Givenchy

How can AI help elevate retail experience in our Boutiques? Over three months, students groups immersed themselves in the heritage of the Maison Parfums Givenchy. They had the opportunity to challenge their ideas through a mid-term presentation and multiple-follow up sessions before presenting at the headquarters in front of the Maison's sponsor jury. 


Guerlain

The teams were given insights to the Maison's practices to create innovative ideas that would drive revenue and enhance customer experience. At the Guerlain headquarters, they presented their ideas and were given valuable feedback, preparing them for future endeavours in the industy.


TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

VivaTech

The ESSEC LVMH Chair had the incredible opportunity to attend Viva Technology 2024! 

The event brought together over 13,500 startups and 400 speakers, all dedicated to driving innovation and tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

ChangeNOW

The ChangeNOW Fair is an annual global summit that addresses environmental and social challenges, bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. It features speeches, discussions, workshops, and exhibitions on sustainable solutions. The event aims to foster collaboration and accelerate positive change for a sustainable future. 

Station F

From exploring the state-of-the-art facilities at STATION F to engaging with visionary startup founders, our students witnessed firsthand the synergy between LVMH and the startups and the group's commitment to fostering creativity, pushing boundaries and nurturing talents. This visit not only broadened students' understanding of open innovation but also deepened their appreciation for the dynamic landscape of modern entrepreneurship.


SEMINARS AND EVENTS

Five students of this year promotion were selected for the Women@Dior Program and invited to the Annual Conference in collaboration with UNESCO celebrating women’s rights. In addition, they benefited from an exclusive relationship with a mentor.


In the iconic Louis Vuitton headquarters, our students were able to immerse themselves in the world of luxury merchandising. After a presentation they worked in groups on a challenge, an excellent exercise to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting.

Our studens were invited to the stunning Kosmo headquarter of Parfums Christian Dior to participate in a seminar on digital transformation in the luxury world. The  presentations were followed by a networking cocktail with HR managers .

From grape to product, packaging to distribution and throughout their internal practices, Ruinart led an engaging seminar on their unwavering commitment to sustainability. This includes initiatives to protect the terroir and environment.

Christian Dior Couture introduced our students to the critical universe of Retail Excellence, presenting their ultimate in Retail Spaces & Services. They demonstratied how excellence at the flagship level is essential for brand success globally. The conference was followed by a group exercise and an HR presentation.

Incredible seminar with Hublot on Balancing Heritage and Innovation with its multi-faceted  challenges,  particularly in sustainability and engaging younger generations. It provided invaluable insights into the dynamic world of luxury marketing..

What a privilege to step in the historic walls of the Maison Louis Vuitton in Asnières, where time stands still yet every corner whispers tales of timeless elegance and innovation.

A one-day trip to Verzy, to visit the Veuve Cliquot property vines and garden, inaugurate their summer picnic and enjoy a special tasting of the exquisite Champagne Rosé, learning about the nuances of its composition, assembly and flavor. 

A last visit through the meticulously curated galleries of the Fondation Louis Vuitton to  appreciate the vibrant dialogue between two masters of colors and forms,  Ellsworth Kelly and Matisse.
